Brook House really impressed me! I was greeted with a lovely cup of tea. Liz and Graham are fantastic hosts. They provided great local walking recommendations like Orrest Head with fine views. The room was super clean, with cozy furnishings and a tv. I enjoyed the delicious breakfasts every morning with options like perfectly cooked veggie sausages. It reminded me of a real treat! I did experience some minor issues. There were some noise disturbances from the hallway at night, which could be bothersome for light sleepers. While the breakfast was fantastic, I felt it might be limited for longer stays since variety could be an issue if you stay more than a few nights. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience felt personalized and homely. I would happily return during my next visit to the Lake District!

The mattress had a dip on one side (looks like it's seen its share of cuddles). Still, everything else sparkled and shone like a bright star in the Lake District sky.

Really enjoyed my stay! Liz and Graham were super friendly and went outta their way to. Breakfast was delicious with tons of options. Loved the special dietary menus too! Our room was clean and spacious, but we could hear a bit of noise from the hallway at night, so maybe bring earplugs.

This hotel is nice, and has everything I need like free parking, wi-fi, tv, and board games. The staff once helped me with a local taxi number. I recommend it for a cozy retreat.

The room had essential amenities like an electric kettle, central heating, and an iron/ironing board. the location is picturesque and within walking distance to the tourist area as well as all tourist destinations. - It is situated in a quiet part of town.

A great and quiet location with a nearby pub and access to shops, cafes, and restaurants.

The rooms here provide excellent value for money, and they come equipped with tea and coffee making amenities, which is a plus.
