Brook House really impressed me! I was greeted with a lovely cup of tea. Liz and Graham are fantastic hosts. They provided great local walking recommendations like Orrest Head with fine views. The room was super clean, with cozy furnishings and a tv. I enjoyed the delicious breakfasts every morning with options like perfectly cooked veggie sausages. It reminded me of a real treat! I did experience some minor issues. There were some noise disturbances from the hallway at night, which could be bothersome for light sleepers. While the breakfast was fantastic, I felt it might be limited for longer stays since variety could be an issue if you stay more than a few nights. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience felt personalized and homely. I would happily return during my next visit to the Lake District!

The breakfast is a highlight, with a customizable menu that includes perfectly cooked veggie sausages and a variety of cereals. Plus, the separate downstairs room for ironing and a heated air dryer adds a thoughtful touch to the experience.
Some rooms, particularly on the top floor, feel cramped. Wi-Fi reception could use an upgrade, as it struggled at times, impacting travel plans. Lastly, a few accommodations were missing more power outlets.

Liz and Graham's warmth, with consistent cleanliness and a delicious breakfast that catered to dietary needs. The mattress had a noticeable dip, made sleeping a bit challenging for both of us. A great choice for anyone visiting the area.

We had a blast exploring local gastro gems like Hooked and Café Italia, where fresh Mediterranean bites got our taste buds dancing. Liz and Graham were nice, while the super clean rooms added to our cozy escape.
The mattress had a dip on one side (looks like it's seen its share of cuddles). Still, everything else sparkled and shone like a bright star in the Lake District sky.

Cozy and cute stay!
Really enjoyed my stay! Liz and Graham were super friendly and went outta their way to. Breakfast was delicious with tons of options. Loved the special dietary menus too! Our room was clean and spacious, but we could hear a bit of noise from the hallway at night, so maybe bring earplugs.

Had an amazing time! The breakfast was great with loads of options, and I loved lounging in the pretty garden area and the cozy sunroom. Just a heads up, some minor hallway noise could be heard at times, but it didn't spoil the overall enjoyment. 😊
